Frozen Tripletail Portion 10/12 oz

A tropical fish found in warm waters along bays, sounds and estuaries. Known to float just beneath the surface with one side exposed, mimicking a leaf or floating debris, thought to be a feeding strategy. The tripletail has a compressed but deep body with a triangle shaped head with scales that extend towards its fins. The name tripletail comes from the species three rounded fins.

Tripletail is an exceptionally good eating fish. The flesh is firm, white and is considered by many to be equal to or superior to red snapper or grouper. Frying, grilling and pan searing enhance the mild flavor.
